Guidelines

If you have a video from your band that you would like to be aired on The Indie Amplifier or you are considering producing a video for the show here are some guidelines and suggestions that will help you.

The two main things we need to start airing your creative master pieces and giving you valuable exposure is your music video on one of the formats described below and a signed non-exclusive copyright release which you can get by clicking here. The non-exclusive copyright release basically says that you either own or have permission to use all the audio and video elements included in your video, and you give us permission to show it.

The media formats that we accept to air music video content on The Indie Amplifier are Betacam SP, Sony DVCAM, Sony mini DV or DVD. Note if you send mini DV it must be on Sony tape, we have had technical difficulties with non-Sony tape in our Sony decks so please do not send it on other brands. BetacamSP content maybe on either Sony or Maxell tape. We will also consider playing SVHS masters if it is a first generation master.

Send the your video and any promotional content you feel appropriate to:

MJM Film and Video, Inc.
12700 Century Drive
Suite D
Alpharetta, GA 30004

Materials submitted to the Indie Amplifier will not be returned unless agreed upon in writing.

If you would like us to review your video prior to making the air master, you may either email us a link to a website that has the content or you may send us a VHS copy proof. We will let you know ASAP if the video will be aired on the show.

There are certain things you should avoid if you want your video aired.
-Do not use or display copyrighted elements that you do not own or have written permission to use. For instance do not show a company's logo or use audio from a motion picture or television show.

If your video contains any of the above it may still be potentially shown only if the offending elements are censored out, by either blurring the element beyond recognition or covering it up with another element. If it is an offending audio element it must be muted out.

Never before has the time been better for the independent artist to produce music videos to use as a key promotional tool. Technology has made it easier and more cost effective to produce the videos and The Indie Amplifier and others are providing a venue for them to be seen.
